Bamboo is amazingly soft and extremely comfortable to wear: Described by many as a cross between silk and cashmere but so much easier to care for.
The fibre is naturally round and smooth with no sharp spurs to irritate the skin. The result is a fabric particularly suited to those with sensitive skin or who suffer from skin allergies.
Bamboo ‘kun’ is a naturally occurring antibacterial agent present in bamboo which helps to keep your clothes fresh and you odour free. Our own personal use of bamboo products shows this to be especially noticeable with regard to towels.
Bamboo is 100% biodegradable.
The porous qualities of bamboo make it breathable. This prevents the fabric sticking to you when it’s hot or during exercise. Micro-holes in the fibre absorb moisture but also provide ventilation. (One of the main reasons bamboo grows so quickly is because of its extraordinary ability to absorb water). Tests prove bamboo to be 3-4 times more absorbent than cotton. Wrap yourself in a bamboo towel and drying is effortless. The fibre’s micro-system also helps to keep you warm when it is cold.
Bamboo provides natural UV protection cutting out up to 98% of the sun’s harmful rays.
